I need to start by apologizing for not posting this sooner! Life has been a bit busy, and we haven't had the chance to stop and post.
This picture captures the fun that was had by all!

WOW! Once again we have been overwhelmed by the beautiful people who love and support our family. There are not enough words to express our gratitude to all the people who came, helped, and donated. We were able to raise $3,600! This is an awesome amount to add to our adoption fund!

We are now closer to bringing home Baby W! We can't wait for you all to meet her/him! We can't wait to meet her/him either =)

Not Easy-Different.

The other day, I had a pregnant friend tell me that I was doing it the easy way in referring to adoption. I know she wasn't meaning to at all, but this truly hurt my feelings because she clearly doesn't understand what I am facing. I simply said, " I don't know about that", and I walked away trying to fight back tears. I am not pregnant and have never been pregnant, so I don't feel like I really have the place to compare the two. We are hoping one day after we bring baby Woodson home that I will be pregnant, and I will give you my thoughts. The "Lucky" Misconception

The other day a friend said something that struck me, and I thought it would be an interesting and maybe challenging topic to write about. One of our friends had asked us how old Zane was and after we told him, he said that's good. Maybe he will remember his life before you guys and be way more appreciative. I understood where he was coming from, and I know he wasn't trying to be offensive, but it just pained me when I heard this. I know people don't mean anything negative by it, but I think there is a misunderstanding about adoption. Often I hear Zane is so lucky. Zane will be so grateful.  I want to set the record straight. We hope to raise Zane in a way where he will see the goodness and blessings that our family has received. He will be involved in community projects and world projects at a young age.
